The ghastly Delhi gang-rape case of a 23-year old young medical student has put the entire nation in shock. As the young lady is battling for life in the ICU, everyone is shouting for justice and severe punishment for the perpetrators. Even our Bollywood stars are very much upset with this incident. Many Bollywood personalities expressed their anger on a micro blogging site and demanded severe punishment for the culprits. “The initial suspicion which comes to the mind is – such people should be killed – but there are too many things which we have to follow. It is a shame that such a thing has happened, how can somebody commit such a heinous crime.”

Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Preity Zinta have demanded strict punishment for those involved in the gangrape of a 23-year-old student. Besides common folk, Bollywood celebrities have also condemned the horrifying crime and demanded the government to roll out steps that would ensure women’s safety in the country.

Terming the gangrape of a medical student here a “shame”, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan today said that such criminals need to be taught a lesson.

In the wake of the brutal gangrape of a 23-year-old student here, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor on Tuesday called for reassessment of the existing laws in India for speedy justice.

Actress and politician Jaya Bachchan was shaken up by the incident which occured on Sunday night. Other B-town celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Preity Zinta, Anurag Kashyap, Huma Qureshi, Shekhar Kapur and others took to social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter to express views regarding the incident.

They also demanded strict punishment for all those who involved in the rape incident, which took place in a moving bus in South Delhi.

Speaking out strongly against the gangrape of 23-year-old paramedical student in the capital on Sunday night, Amitabh Bachchan termed the crime as an act of a demon.
